Atlantic Records and Rockstar Games have officially announced the release date for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.
Atlantic Records and Rockstar Games have unveiled the release date for Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the official soundtrack to the forthcoming installment in the groundbreaking video game franchise. On Thursday (Sept. 17), the companies announced that the project will arrive on November 19, coinciding with the highly anticipated video game’s launch.
Six of the thirty-four songs on the album were also released alongside the news, including tracks led by Travis Scott, Yung Lean, and Morgan Wallen. Scott, whose 2013 track “Upper Echelon” appeared on Radio Los Santos in Grand Theft Auto V, returns to the franchise with the new song “RHYNO,” produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Yung Lean headlines “That’s It” featuring Future and Metro Boomin, while Wallen contributes a solo track titled “Last Thing You Need.”
Additional tracks released in support of the album include songs by Rauw Alejandro (“Macacoa 2000”), Keith Richards (“Bright Lights, Big City”), and a star-studded posse cut featuring CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.., & Etienne de Crécy (“Sexy Magic”).
Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album pre-orders are currently available, and the collection will launch with multiple vinyl and CD offerings. According to a press release, these items will include Atlantic Records exclusives, such as a limited-edition liquid-filled vinyl, a splatter edition vinyl, and a CD jewel case—each featuring exclusive new artwork and packaging designs that echo the iconic style of the game.
