Syd Announces ‘Beard Tour’ Dates
Syd has officially unveiled the North American dates for her headlining ‘Beard Tour,’ set to kick off this November.
Syd is hitting the road again this fall. The Internet’s frontwoman has officially revealed the dates for her highly anticipated headlining Beard Tour.
The 23-date North American leg is scheduled to kick off on Nov. 7 at the Commodore in Vancouver. From there, the tour will make stops in major cities including Portland, Houston, Atlanta, Brooklyn, and Chicago, before concluding on Dec. 16 in Los Angeles at The Wiltern.
Presale tickets will be available starting Wednesday, Sept. 16, with general public sales beginning Friday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m. local time. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase various VIP packages, which include premium seating, access to an exclusive pre-show soundcheck with Syd, early entry, and commemorative gift items.
This tour serves as a celebration of her third studio album, Beard, which was released on July 17. The album’s arrival coincided with new projects from her bandmates in The Internet, including Steve Lacy and Chris Crispy.
Reflecting on the project, Syd shared, “Beard is a coming of age album for me. It’s a snapshot of what my life looks like right now. The title was inspired by the peach fuzz on my upper lip that society has always taught me to hate. I fell in love with my peach fuzz and it made me rethink everything that was supposed to make me feel insecure. It allowed me to take my confidence into my own hands, and own everything that I am and everything I love about myself, regardless of what anyone else thinks.”
Following a successful run through the U.K. and Europe that concluded in early September, the North American leg promises to bring this intimate and empowering experience to fans across the continent.
