Summer Smash Festival Registers 90,000 Attendees in Chicago

Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash Festival numbers are in, and this year’s three-day run brought 90,000 people to Chicago’s Douglass Park.

Summer Smash is now one of the largest independent music festivals in the country and has become a premier event in the Midwest and Chicago.

During Summer Smash, Lil Durk and Chance the Rapper made surprise hometown performances. For Durk, it was his first appearance in front of a Chicago crowd in years.

The festival kicked off with A$AP Rocky on Friday as he premiered 8 new songs, Lil Baby took over Saturday for the headlining spot with a new fall tour, and Sunday was closed by Lil Uzi Vert.

Additional performances included a Juice WRLD tribute set including DJ Scheme and Ski Mask The Slump God and Sheck Wes as a surprise guest during Zach Bia DJ’s set.
