Grammy-winning R&B singer Lucky Daye has officially entered a new chapter in his career, signing a major deal with Warner Records. He joins a growing roster at the label that includes notable artists such as Syd, Alex Isley, Justine Skye, and Teddy Swims.

Daye was previously signed to Keep Cool, in partnership with RCA Records, where he released his debut album, Painted (2019), followed by his collaborative project, Table For Two (2021), Candydrip (2022), and Algorithm (2024). The latter project, his third LP, earned a nomination for Best R&B Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards. While he did not take home the trophy in that category, he secured a win for Best Traditional R&B Performance for the album’s lead single, “That’s You.” This marked his second Grammy victory, following his 2022 win for Best Progressive R&B Album.

With his new label home announcement, Daye has unveiled his latest single, “Nowhere Fast.” Produced by his longtime collaborator D’Mile, the track incorporates clever samples of Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake” and Boozie Badazz’s “Independent.”

“We live in a world that’s constantly telling us to move faster. But sometimes real growth happens when you slow down and move with intention. That’s what ‘Nowhere Fast’ is about—being present, trusting your pace, and not losing sight of what actually matters,” Daye said of the new release.

“Nowhere Fast” serves as the lead single from Daye’s upcoming fourth studio album, which is slated for release this fall. The project will follow the genre-bending Algorithm. Regarding his creative process, Daye noted, “Algorithm is the continued exploration of my sound, leaning into more futuristic and alternative sounds. Whenever I create with D’Mile and J. Kercy, we create magic, so I hope the fans love this project as much as I do.”

Since the release of Algorithm, Daye has remained active, collaborating with artists such as Kehlani, India Shawn, Tori Kelly, and most recently, Tank and The Bangas.
