Frankie Lons, Mother of Keyshia Cole, Reportedly Passes Away
Frankie Lons, the mother of R&B singer Keyshia Cole, has passed away. Frankie became a favorite of the public during Cole’s reality show, which created the spinoff series Frankie & Neffie.
Elite Noel, Cole’s sister, announced her passing on Instagram, as noted by Love B Scott.
“Worse pain ever,” Noel wrote. “To see my mama in a body bag on her birthday! My heart so fuckin broke.”
One of Frankie’s grandchildren also spoke of the death on social media citing “happy birthday beautiful and rest in heaven.”
Update: TMZ reports Frankie passed away from an overdose at her home in Oakland. Keyshia Cole’s brother Sam revealed she took drugs while partying, relapsing on her recovery and leading to the overdose.
