Dua Lipa Fans Urge Her To Drop DaBaby From ‘Levitating (Remix)’ Following Homophobic Remarks At Rolling Loud

Dua Lipa fans want DaBaby removed from her “Levitating (Remix)” following his homophobic rant at Rolling Loud.

“The ‘Levitating’ remix we deserve! F— DaBaby,” wrote one fan along with a mash up of the pop single and Megan Thee Stallion’s verse on Phony Ppl’s “Fkn Around.”

Another fan put in a bid for a replacement. “Can we get Dua Lipa to re-record the ‘Levitating’ remix with @lilnasx instead bc DaBaby is a homophobe.”

In several videos shared from the festival last weekend, DaBaby attempts to ‘hype’ the crowd by saying, “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up! Ladies, if your p—- smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up! Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d— in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up!”

T.I. defended the Charlotte rapper’s remarks by saying “everybody living in their truth” in reference to Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby” music video.

Dua Lipa also addressed DaBaby’s now-viral rant. “I’m surprised and horrified at DaBaby’s comments,” Lipa wrote on her Instagram story. “I really don’t recognize this as the person I worked with. I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGBTQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.”

After trying to defend himself, DaBaby eventually issued his version of an apology. “Anybody who done ever been effected by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset,” he wrote. “What I said was insensitive even though I have no intentions on offending anybody. So my apologies. But the LGBT community… I ain’t trippin on y’all, do you. Y’all business is y’all business.”

Victoria Monet shot her shot and offered to replace the rapper on the song. “If she would like to replace DaBaby’s verse on levitating I’m totally available,” she tweeted.
