Tyla, Travis Scott Get Steamy And Soaked In “Water (Remix)” Video

Tyla and Travis Scott get sensually steamy in the new video for “Water (Remix).” The amapiano star dropped the video on Monday (Mar. 18).

The duo sticks to the song’s aquatic themes as sprinkles of water, steam, and raindrops soak them. The music video is accentuated with cool blue-graded visuals. The color creates a cascade effect as the water and Tyla’s fluid dances seamlessly flow to the song’s rhythm.

At one point, the two stars share flirty exchanges, vibing through a condensed glass wall. Various other shots include Tyla frolicking through puddles of water in a dark room. And you know the South African artist had to hit the now-synonymous “Water” dance — officially known as “bacardi.” You know the one!

Travis Scott adds a layer of flirty fun to the viral hit. His auto-tune-drenched voice croons about his love interest, referencing both Houston and South Africa.

“Don’t matter if you dress for the fine dining/ Or you inside with your bonnet/ I know, yeah, iconic/ You deserve some princess diamonds/ You deserve a trip to the islands/ If we post up, baby, don’t comment,” he sing-raps. “You keep it wet, that’s a real-life challenge/ All that a** gotta pour out of gallons/ Beauty in the top, keep balance/ Ooh, she in her bag, ooh, she wildin’/ You ain’t gotta hide your talent/ Even if you did, I bet I find it/ You know I’m comin’ from the H/ But it’s plus two-seven when I dial in.”

And her new music video is just the beginning of Tyla’s busy week. The singer’s self-titled debut album is set to hit the world on Friday (Mar. 22). She recently released the official tracklist for the album. The 14-song LP features fan-favorite tracks such as “Water,” “Truth or Dare,” “Butterflies,” “On and On,” and, of course, “Water (Remix).” The tracklist also gives fans a sneak peek into the album’s many guest features. TYLA includes contributions from Kelvin Momo, Tems, Travis Scott, Gunna, Skillibeng, and Becky G

Tyla announced her debut album in November 2023. At the time, the singer took to Instagram to celebrate her upcoming body of work. She typed a heartfelt note to her supporters and fans. The Grammy award-winning artist basked in the moment, stating that the world was going to “experience an African pop star.”

“Everything that’s happening has surpassed anything I could have dreamt of,” she typed. “African music is going global, and I’m so blessed to be one of the artists pushing the culture. I’ve been working on my sound for 2 years now. I’m so ready for the world to hear it. I cannot wait for the world to experience an African pop star. Go wild, Tygers.”
