Taking a look at drops from artists across Hip-Hop, R&B, and more this week, new visuals take the stage, as well as previously released records updated with fresh visuals.
Monaleo and PinkPantheress celebrate their respective birthdays with music videos for their fans, while Chance The Rapper kicks off his comeback season with a cinematic offering. Additionally, Skilla Baby, Coi Leray, YG Marley, Luh Tyler, Tiera Kennedy, and more all added new music videos to their visual libraries.

PinkPantheress – “Reason”
PinkPantheress updates her 2021 mixtape with an official music video for “Reason.” According to the official description, the visual was released in celebration of her birthday. Directed by LAUZZA, the short finds the British musician singing through her feelings in a foggy forest.
“I thought I’d give you guys the gift of an unreleased music video, one of my favourites, ‘Reason,’” wrote the Gen Z star.

Monaleo – “Ranchero”
Monaleo and a crew of baddie bandits take fans to the wild wild west in the “Ranchero” music video. Directed by Jerry Morka, the gang takes a man hostage and ties him up for an interrogation. The full track and visual, teased earlier this week, was released in celebration of the Texas rapper’s birthday.
Her “pretty in pink” aesthetic is juxtaposed with intense, explicit lyrics that Monaleo effortlessly flows over the ArcticBeats-produced track.
“Why the f**k would I go 50/50? Ni** I’m just a girl/ Why the f**k you lick the lips? Ni**a you ‘posed to lick the pearl/ Why the f**k would I beef with a bi**h (What?) who hair don’t even hold a curl?/ Why the f**k would I cry over spilled milk when I got the best cookie in the world?” raps the 23-year-old.

YG Marley – “Praise Jah In The Moonlight”
YG Marley updates his 2023 release “Praise Jah In The Moonlight” with a new music video. Directed by Cole Bennet of Lyrical Lemonade, the warm visual showcases community and connection as the singer spreads joy through a neighborhood in Jamaica.
“Give Jah the thanks and praises,” sings the 22-year-old.
According to Dancehall Mag, “Praise Jah In The Moonlight” surpassed 100 million plays on Spotify in February of this year. The video comes after YG Marley‘s mother, Ms. Lauryn Hill, joined him onstage at Coachella earlier this month, per Billboard.

Skilla Baby – “Free Big Meech”
Skilla Baby pays homage to the Black Mafia Family in the “Free Big Meech” music video. The Detroit rapper takes over the clubs and the streets in the visual decked out with a plethora of cash and chains. “Free Big Meech” comes from the rising artist’s new project The Coldest, due today (April 26).
“I took my time to put this project together… Sometimes, I feel like people try to place me in a box. The pressure of being a new artist, being successful, staying disciplined, and still clocking into the studio is very strenuous. But fun at the same time,” explained the 25-year-old.
“As an artist, I’m known as the ‘Girl’s guy.’ But I’ll never forget I come from the streets. As a real person, I feel so many emotions (mad, sad, happy, anxious, etc.). I say that to say, sorry for the wait but I wanted to put everything I feel into one project. Grab your coats.”

Chance The Rapper – “Buried Alive”
Chance The Rapper returns with the “Buried Alive” music video. Directed by the Chicago musician himself, the visual finds the 31-year-old attempting to escape from a locked coffin. Once he finally breaks out, he learns that he was not underground in a permanent grave, but in a box aboard a spaceship with infinite possibilities.
“Getting back to directing and shaping the cinematography for the ‘Buried Alive’ music video was really a rewarding return for me,” detailed the rapper per The Source. “Film provides me a platform to translate my creative vision into a tangible, immersive experience, while also capturing the grandeur of the cosmos.”

Tiera Kennedy – “I Ain’t A Cowgirl”
Tiera Kennedy is ready for a new era of her musical journey with the “I Ain’t A Cowgirl” music video. Directed by Kamren Kennedy and shot at Harlinsdale Farm, she takes over a peaceful pasture, inspired to stand up for herself and stay true to her genuine artistry.
“When I moved to Nashville, I soaked up everything everyone said. I took notes from the tastemakers in town and took their opinions as facts,” explained the singer in a statement.
“I thought that in order to succeed I had to follow this formula – stay in the box. Sometimes it’s hard to stand up for yourself and do something that’s never been done before. It’s scary. But I learned that in order to grow and in order to feel true happiness in my heart I have to stand up for myself and be comfortable coloring outside of the box. Not everyone will be okay with that and that’s okay.”

YG – “KNOCKA”
YG is back with his first solo track of 2024 “KNOCKA.” The track is also the Compton, Calif., representative’s first to be released under his new BMG deal. The video, directed by Austin Simkins and YG, takes audiences to the rapper’s neighborhood, where he pulls up in a luxury red car with a handful of red roses.
From watching a dice game to wielding a flame thrower, to women flashing their breasts and twerking, YG waves his flag and is ready for whatever.

Luh Tyler – “Erykah Badu (Remix)”
Luh Tyler takes fans on a journey in the “Erykah Badu (Remix)” official music video. Rapping over the R&B singer’s 1997 debut single “On and On,” the 18-year-old also gave a shoutout to Kodak Black who took on the beat in 2018. In the clip, the Florida native showcases his time in North Carolina at Dreamville Festival where he performed earlier this month.

BlueBucksClan, Hit-Boy & 2 Chainz – “Scroll”
BlueBucksClan unites the South and the West Coast in the “Scroll” music video with Hit-Boy and 2 Chainz. Directed and edited by THIRDEYERAZ/Nu.Wav, the visual finds the rappers enjoying a lavish house party with all the pleasantries they desire.
“You tryna find your h*e? Pick up the phone and scroll,” commands the party-ready hook.
The track comes from BlueBucksClan’s latest album Biggest Out The West, which features production from Hit-Boy and collaborations with Wiz Khalifa, Dom Kennedy, Ty Dolla $ign, and more.

Coi Leray – “Can’t Come Back”
Coi Leray gets physical in the “Can’t Come Back” music video. The track, produced by TrueBeatzz and Melz of Ear Drummers, is her second release with Island Records and continues what the singer dubbed her “grown and sexy” era.
In the video, directed by Dragan Aric and creatively led by Alondra Costa with Johnathan Behr as the lead producer, the Grammy-nominated rapper pays homage to the legendary Janet Jackson’s 1986 “The Pleasure Principle” video.

Logic – “44ever”
Logic updates his “44” series with the “44ever” music video. Directed by Henry Smisek and JT Clemente, the rapper partnered with with LabX – a program of the National Academy of Sciences, launching LabX’s new initiative called LabX Out Loud.
The visual highlights two scientists as crew members of the spaceship Aquarius III. Dr. Moogega Cooper is a Planetary Protection Engineer and Dr. Anjali Tripathi is an astrophysicist and exoplanet explorer – both of whom have contributed to NASA’s Mars rover missions.
“This is my favorite music video I’ve ever shot. I got to bring in my 15 biggest fans to a location that is so important to all of us,” detailed Maryland native per V13.
