Future And Metro Boomin’s ‘WE DON’T TRUST YOU’ Debuts At No. 1

Future and Metro Boomin are on top. Their collaborative WE DON’T TRUST YOU album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard‘s 200 chart after a successful first week.

According to the outlet, the duo sits comfortably at the top spot on the chart dated April 6, marking the biggest week of 2024 by any album, Future’s second-largest week ever, and the biggest week of Metro Boomin’s career. It also stands as the Atlanta rapper’s ninth No. 1 and the St. Louis producer’s fourth.

In total, WE DON’T TRUST YOU counted 251,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending March 28, equaling 324.31 million on-demand official streams. The album also scored 4,500 sales. The 17-track project was only available to purchase as a digital download through traditional digital retailers.

Billboard reported the top-streamed song from WE DON’T TRUST YOU as “Like That,” which features Kendrick Lamar and takes aim at Drake and J. Cole.

“Ni**as clickin’ up, but cannot be legit, no 40 Water, tell ’em/ Ah, yeah, huh, yeah, get up with me/ F**k sneak dissin’, first-person shooter, I hope they came with three switches/ I crash out, like, ‘F**k rap, diss Melle Mel if I had to/ Got 2TEEZ with me, I’m snatchin’ chains and burnin’ tattoos, it’s up,” raps the Compton emcee.

“Lost too many soldiers not to play it safe/ If he walk around with that stick, it ain’t Andre 3K/ Think I won’t drop the location? I still got PTSD/ Motherf**k the big three, ni**a, it’s just big me/ Ni**a, bum, what? I’m really like that/ And your best work is a light pack/ Ni**a, Prince outlived Mike Jack’/Ni**a, bum, ‘fore all your dogs gettin’ buried/ That’s a K with all these nines, he gon’ see Pet Sematary/ Ni**a, bum.”



Two visuals from the album have already been released; one for “Type Sh*t” featuring Travis Scott and Playboi Carti, and the other for “Young Metro” which features The Weeknd. The album also features Rick Ross, and audio from Prodigy.

As more music videos may be on the horizon, fans of the duo can look forward to new music. A second collaborative album from Future and Metro Boomin is set to be released later this month.
