Alex Isley Announces Debut Album ‘When The City Sleeps,’ Shares ‘Sweetest Lullabye’

R&B songbird Alex Isley will release her major-label debut album, When The City Sleeps, March 20 via Free Lunch Records/Warner Records.

The Grammy-nominated singer confirmed the news in a social media post shared Thursday (Feb. 12). “WHEN THE CITY SLEEPS. An album for the dreamers, and my most personal work yet, whew… March 20, 2026,” Isley wrote on Instagram, unveiling the midnight blue cover art.

When The City Sleeps will include the lead single, “Sweetest Lullabye,” produced by D’Mile. Set against a dreamy acoustic backdrop, Isley longs to end a fading relationship on a good note. “If you’re gonna love then leave / I need one more melody,” she coos over a delicate guitar.

Speaking on her new single, Isley exclusively tells Rated R&B, “For me, ‘Sweetest Lullabye’ is about making the bitter a little more sweet, and the lining a little more silver. To make the goodbye a little less painful by savoring the sweetest moments.”

She adds, “With my new album, When The City Sleeps, being some of my deepest, most vulnerable thoughts and experiences, I think ‘Sweetest Lullabye’ is right on theme and the perfect gateway to this new world.”

When The City Sleeps will arrive nearly a year after Isley’s WHEN EP. The 15-track album contains all of the EPs six tracks, including “Ms. Goody Two Shoes” and “Hands,” plus collaborations with James Fauntleroy and Syd
