Young Thug’s 11-Year-Old Daughter, Mego YSL, Releases New Song

Young Thug‘s daughter, rapper Mego YSL, has dropped a new track amid her father’s trial on RICO charges.

The 11-year-old, also known as Mego Amari, recently released the new tune that finds her sliding on opps and gun toting with military-grade ammunition.

Rapping atop a pulsating track, Mego makes it clear that she’s not for play and is one to be feared, chiding her foes for “wearing big a** clothes” and being low on funds. “How you getting money, go pick up a Drac,” the Atlanta native advises, as she doles out idle threats against those dissing her gang.

Mego YSL has been making waves for her rap skills since 2020, when she released her first two musical offerings, “They Listen a Lot” and “Do What I Can.” In the years since, she’s continuously dropped new material, including “Yessirski” and “Revenge,” her 2021 collaboration with Young Mike Lawless.

The prodigious spitter’s latest effort arrives as her father’s trial on RICO charges, stemming from his alleged role in a violent gang, is currently underway.

Arrested in 2022, Young Thug has been facing multiple charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate the state’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

Young Thug’s trial has included numerous twist and turns that have garnered headlines and raised the profile of the case over the past year. From multiple judges being appointed to the case, to claims of misconduct by the prosecution, the YSL RICO case has now become the longest running trial in Georgia state history.

At one point during the proceedings, Young Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steele, was arrested after being found in contempt of court by Judge Ural Glanville in June. Glanville, who has since been recused from the case, had Steele detained for his refusal to identify the person who notified him of a “secret meeting” between Glanville, the prosecution, and star witness, Kenneth Copeland, aka YSL Woody.
