Gunna Makes Plays From His Phone In “Whatsapp (Wassam)” Music Video
Gunna has released the music video for his latest single “Whatsapp (Wassam).” The Leff-directed visual sees the YSL artist make a ton of boss moves from his phone.
“Whatsapp (Wassam)” is the first music video from his fifth studio album, One of Wun, which was released on Friday (May 10).
Wunna — who appears to get fitted at a photoshoot — makes plays with people in the dirty south all the way to Tokyo, while relying on the free messaging app. He even boards a private jet, attends a meeting, and takes a call from Flo Milli, who says the competition out there may want to try “push-ups.”
“Yeah, wassam? They sent the wire through the WhatsApp/ Hope ain’t nobody to cuss at/ Sh*t changed, but it still’ll get pushed back/ I drop, make these little ni**as push back/ I count up, just look at my contract (Count up, just look at my contract),” he warns.
One of Wun marks Gunna’s first full-length album since 2023’s A Gift & A Curse. The latter was actually released a month after the Atlanta rapper was arrested on racketeering charges along with Young Thug. He ultimately plead guilty and was released in December after serving seven months.
The new 20-track album boasts standout singles “$$$” featuring Normani, “Prada Dem” with Offset, “Treesh” and more. The project also includes musical assistance from Roddy Ricch and Leon Bridges.
To fully immerse fans in One of Wun, Gunna kicked off The Bittersweet Tour earlier this month with special guest Flo Milli. The 17-date trek continues on May 16 in Seattle before concluding June 11 in Atlanta.
Additionally, the 32-year-old released limited-edition One of Wun merch designed by rising artist Calvin Clausell Jr. The capsule includes t-shirts, hoodies, and sleeveless tanks ranging from $35-$80. The release also offers an exclusive signature blue vinyl available for $24.98.
