Cam’ron Says He And Ma$e Have Collab Album Recorded, But Ma$e Is Being Stingy With It
Cam’ron And Ma$e have been on a historic tear with their hit sports talk show It Is What It Is, but according to Cam, the pair are fully primed to release a joint album – with Ma$e’s blessing, that is.
Per The Source, the Harlem native revealed that he and Ma$e have enough collaborative and solo songs to create an album, but that Ma$e is hesitant of allowing the public to hear them.
“Me and Ma$e got an album. He said we can’t put it out!,” the 48-year-old told his followers on Instagram, adding that Ma$e’s reasoning behind his decision remains unbeknownst to him. “I don’t know what it’s about. We did six-seven songs. We do the songs and then he say, ‘No.’”
Cam then speculated that Ma$e may be intending to keep the aforementioned material under wraps for a specific time or endeavor, adding that he’s been asked not to preview any of the unreleased songs to the public. “I don’t know what Ma$e is saving them for. But we got songs together and not together. I’m just not allowed to play them.”
The Come Home With Me creator spoke glowingly of his fellow Harlem native’s vaulted recordings, noting that he has a surplus of tracks stashed away for safekeeping. “Ma$e got mad songs. Them sh*ts is hot too. All Ma$e songs is hot,” he continued. “I ain’t gonna front, he got some real, real, real good songs.”
While Killa isn’t sure what’s keeping Ma$e from unveiling new music, he says that he’s appreciative of being able to listen to them, albeit privately. “What he holding onto them for? I can’t answer that. I don’t know what Ma$e is holding onto these songs for,” Cam continued.
“I asked him, ‘Could I play them?’ and he told me, ‘No.’ Maybe they just for him to enjoy. I hear them too though, I enjoy them. Trust me, if I could play this sh*t Ma$e plays for me, I would.”
