Usher and H.E.R.’s ‘Risk It All’ Hits No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay Chart

Usher and H.E.R.’s duet, “Risk It All,” rises from No. 2 to No. 1 this week on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.

The heartwarming ballad, produced by H.E.R., who co-wrote it with Jimmy Napes, is Usher’s ninth leader on this chart. Usher now ties with Charlie Wilson for the most No. 1s among male R&B artists and third overall.

He previously went No. 1 with “Good Good,” featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage, which spent six weeks atop the chart. Speaking of “Good Good,” the Mel & Mus-produced track is No. 2 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart this week. 

“Risk It All” debuted on the Adult R&B Airplay at No. 21 during the week of Dec. 23, 2023, marking Usher’s 37th entry on the chart.

As for H.E.R., “Risk It All” is the Oscar winner’s eighth No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart. H.E.R. now has the third-most No. 1s among women in R&B, behind Alicia Keys (14) and Toni Braxton (11).

Elsewhere on Billboard, “Risk It All” re-enters the Hot R&B Songs chart at No. 23. So far, the song has peaked at No. 17.

On the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, led by Muni Long‘s “Made For Me” for a fourth week, “Risk It All” is No. 22 (No. 15 peak).

At R&B radio, “Risk It All” is No. 2, while “Good Good” is No. 1. 

“Risk It All” was released in December 2023 as the second single from The Color Purple soundtrack. It also appears on Usher’s ninth album, Coming Home, released in February via mega/gamma. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart and No. 2 on the Billboard 200. 

Usher will support Coming Home on his Past Present Future Tour, which kicks off Aug. 14 in Atlanta, Georgia.
