Tyler, The Creator’s ‘DON’T TAP THE GLASS’ Debuts At No. 1

Tyler, The Creator is once again on top. The California-bred musician’s latest release DON’T TAP THE GLASS’ has officially debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s 200 chart. Officially released on a Monday, as compared to the standard Friday drop, the album only counted four days of tracking in its first week numbers.

This makes the 34-year-old’s fourth No. 1 album, following CHROMAKOPIA (2024), CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST (2021), and IGOR (2019).

According to the outlet, the album opened with 97,000 album-equivalent units. Most of the success can be attributed directly to album sales, as DON’T TAP THE GLASS is also the top-selling album of the week with 128,000 sold. The Grammy winner offered fans the choice of purchasing a vinyl LP, a CD, and three deluxe boxed sets containing a piece of branded clothing and a copy of the CD, through his official website.

DON’T TAP THE GLASS stands at 10 tracks with Pharrell Williams, Yebba, and Madison McFerrin listed as credited features. The drop comes as Tyler, The Creator continues his CHROMAKOPIA global tour. The album was promoted with listening events in Los Angeles and New York City, where attendees were encouraged to put their phones away and dance.
