Sexyy Red Discusses What Vibes Fans Can Expect From Collab Album With Chief Keef
Sexyy Red does not stop working. The 26-year-old rapper has a forthcoming collaborative project with Chief Keef and informed fans about what kind of vibes they can expect from it.
“That’s my boo,” she said when asked about Keef during an interview at Wireless Festival in London. “We droppin’ an album soon. Yeah, for sure. We be workin.” The St. Louis star confirmed that she has multiple tracks with Keef locked and loaded already. As for what fans will hear in the music, Red’s answer wasn’t surprising at all. “We just be on some money sh*t,” she said. “Some cars sh*t, f**k these h*es, buy some clothes and keep your hair done.”
So far, the duo have linked up on the tracks “Ghetto Princess,” “Bow Bow Bow,” “Grape Trees,” and Damn Shorty.” If these collaborations are any indication, their forthcoming collaborative album could be a match made in heaven and well-received among listeners.
Currently, there is no release date for Sexyy Red and Chief Keef’s joint project but if it were to come out in 2024, it would further stamp the “SkeeYee” artist as one of the year’s standout talents. She solidified that campaign with her May project In Sexyy We Trust.
The project was highlighted by her hit single “Get It Sexyy,” but was boosted by the Drake-assisted “U My Everything.” That record included Drizzy’s first verse since his intense feud with Kendrick Lamar. While it was a hood love song, he still found a way to fire some shots at his recent enemies.
He flipped the viral “BBL Drizzy” beat and leaned into the title, rapping, “BBL Drizzy, they want a new body, they ask me for it/ The last one, Jung, he did it for free ’cause I sent over so many past ones for him/ But Red, don’t even worry about all of that sh*t/ Just keep it natural for ’em, I swear/ I got a passion for you, I swear/ I got attraction for you, I swear.” Listen below.
