Megan Thee Stallion Revitalizes #MeganMonday With “I Think I Love Her Freestyle”
Megan Thee Stallion will always take advantage of any opportunity to remind folks that she can really rap. On Monday morning (May 6), the Houston rapper dropped off “I Think I love Her Freestyle,” a new Youtube exclusive that puts her flow front and center.
The minimal clip sees Meg standing against a luminous pink backdrop with a mic in front of her. She sports bright red headphones, her signature diamond chain, and a white baby tee that says “GIRL” on it. As she sways back and forth to find her rhythm, she lets the bars fly: “Show a new b**ch that ain’t Megan coded/ Show a beat I was on and ain’t rode it, if she think she the sh*t, I’m the colon.”
Elsewhere in the song, she name-drops legendary model Naomi Campbell and shows off her college education. “Catwalk, b**ch, I feel like Naomi/ The way I play n***as, I need me a Tony/ Good brain, graduated, top of my percentile/ Take it out the chat, I ain’t tryna be your penpal/ Meanwhile it’s a b**ch on the app right now/ Gettin’ f**ked over, still braggin’ ’bout her body count,” she spits over an electric guitar-led beat. The drop signals the resurgence of her #MeganMonday series.
The “Cobra” rapper has made headlines over the last month due to a new lawsuit filed by her ex-photographer, who accused Meg of harassment and creating a hostel work environment.
According to a lawsuit filed by cameraman Emilio Garcia, Megan engaged in sexual acts with another woman while he was in the car, and because the car was locked and in transit, he couldn’t get out. He also alleges he was told not to tell anyone about what occurred and was allegedly subject to verbal harassment following the incident.
Megan’s legal team has since responded to the allegations, denying the claims and saying that they will deal with the matter in court. “This is an employment claim for money — with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her,” the rapper’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, told Page Six Tuesday. “We will deal with this in court.”
In related news, Meg is also gearing up to embark on her Hot Girl Summer Tour with GloRilla. The “Hiss” rhymer will hit major cities including Chicago, Detroit, NYC, Philly, Atlanta, and New Orleans. She’ll be showing extra love to her home state Texas by hitting Dallas, Austin, and Houston.
