Latto Fans Can Call This Hotline For “Exclusive” Scoop On Features From New Album

Latto continues to build anticipation for her third studio album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, by revealing details of the work in her own, creative way. On Tuesday (Aug. 6), the 25-year-old revealed a phone number to fans across social media, inviting them to call in for a fun surprise.

After dialing 701-922-SH*T, Latto’s voice answers by repeating “hello,” making callers think she is actually on the line. She continues to laugh as she shares gratitude for her fans.

“It’s Big Latto, It’s ‘Big Mama’, Sugar Honey Iced Tea is out this Friday,” she proudly exclaims in the recording. “Im so so so excited this is my third project. Thank you for everyone who been rocking with me and supporting me. And my fans, thank you to my fans.”

The chart-topping rapper continued by adding additional musicians on the line. “Now the tea is, I’m bout to let y’all hear some of my features, and y’all let me know if y’all hear some familiar voices.”

Four guests in total took turns reciting the Sugar Honey Iced Tea album title. Although she suggested “don’t tell nobody,” to those who recognized the artist’s sound, adding “this is a hotline exclusive,” fans responded to Latto on X guessing everyone from Coco Jones, Ciara, SZA, and Lil Kim.

The SH*T hotline comes after the “Big Energy” performer teased the album with an ATL-inspired trailer last month.

“I feel like what I’m doing has not been done before, so let’s start there. [Aesthetically], I’ve been pulling from Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, and Lil’ Kim,” she explains of inspiration for the album to Billboard.

“[Musically], I’ve been pulling from Kelis, but obviously with a Southern hip-hop twist. They have very feminine energy, but masculine in the sense of confidence. I feel like they was boss bi**hes. It just gave ‘I’m that girl.’ When you hear and see them in that prime era, it gave ‘I’m here to stay.’ In a world where everybody do music, I’m looking up to the GOATs at this sh*t. Ain’t no microwave artists here. I’m tryna be here for a minute… I am going to be here for a minute. I’ve been here for a minute already.”
