Future, Metro Boomin Contemplate Lust In “Drink N Dance” Music Video
Future and Metro Boomin have released the visuals for lusty single “Drink N Dance.”
On Wednesday (April 17), the dynamic duo released the dark visuals showing the men vibing to the multi-tempo cut in a mysterious theater-turned-strip club. The Loris Russier-directed video takes place in Los Angeles, with the steamy West Coast night punctuated by the club-ready number.
Thumping 808s soundtrack Metro and Future’s excursions into the night. Obsidian, Silver, Maroon, and Grey color grading intensify the visual’s moody aesthetic, giving Future’s verses that extra “oomph.”
The Atlanta native details his luxurious lifestyle and the lusts that come with it. He woos an unnamed woman with riches while bragging about his sexual prowess.
“Overseas bank account, penthouse, marbled floors, mink couch/Boss bi**hes so promiscuous, wanna call, answers on the first dial,” he sing-raps. “Maybach goin’ back to back, we goin’ back to back/We out in Abu Dhabi/Foreign bi**hes bringin’ in more exotic bi**hes/I’m a throw a thotty party/Two hundred fifty, no receipt/I’m a park the jet on the beach/Soakin’ through her panties on the seat/Baby, can I trust you with a secret?”
“Drink N Dance” is on the duo’s latest album, We Still Don’t Trust You. The album was released on Friday (April 12) and follows up on We Don’t Trust You. Contributors on the 25-track album include The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Baby, and more.
The album was linked to some drama after fans heard Rocky’s verse on “Show of Hands.” In the song, the Harlemite defended Rihanna against Drake’s digs on his album, For All The Dogs. He mocks Drizzy for getting a porn star pregnant and even claims that he had intercourse with the woman, Sophie Brussaux, first. Rocky also asserts that Drake’s latest project wasn’t culturally impactful.
“Ni**as swear they bi**h the baddest, I just bagged the worst one/Ni**as in they feelings over women, what, you hurt or somethin’?/I smash before you birthed, son, Flacko hit it first, son/Still don’ trust you, it’s always us, never them/Heard you dropped your latest sh*t/Funny how it just came and went,” Rocky venemously raps.
