Dolly Parton Wants You To Revisit “Jolene” As We Await Beyoncé’s ‘COWBOY CARTER’ Cover

It seems that Dolly Parton is just as excited as we are to hear Beyoncé‘s spin on her 1973 classic country hit, “Jolene.”

On Wednesday (March 27), the country living-legend reposted Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tracklist, where she announced 27 song titles, including the smash.

“Listen to my original ‘Jolene‘ while you wait for @Beyonce’s COWBOY CARTER – Dolly P,” the 78-year-old captioned Bey’s post on Instagram Stories and X. She also accompanied the poster-esque tracklist with the original cover art for “Jolene.”

According to the tracklist for Act II: Cowboy Carter, the LP will boasts the songs: “American Requiem,” “Blackbird,” “Protector,” “My Rose,” “Smoke Hour,” “Bodyguard,” “Jolene,” “Daughter,” “Spaghetti,” “Alligator Tears,” “Smoke Hour II,” “Just for Fun,” “II Most Wanted,” “Levii’s Jeans,” “Flamenco,” “YaYa,” “Oh Louisiana,” “Desert Eagle,” “Riverdance,” “II Hands II Heaven,” “Tyrant,” “Sweet Honey Buckin’,” and “Amen.”

Leading singles “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold’em” are also included amongst unclear collaborations with Country icons Willie Nelson and Linda Martell.

Parton previously teased Bey covering “Jolene” while speaking with Knox News earlier this month, ET reported.

“I think she’s recorded ‘Jolene’ and I think it’s probably gonna be on her country album, which I’m very excited about that,” she revealed. “I love her. She’s a beautiful girl and a great singer. We’ve kind of sent messages back and forth through the years and she and her mother were like fans.”

“I was always touched that they were fans, and I always thought she was great.”

Act II: Cowboy Carter drops on March 29.
