Big Sean Previews Kanye West Collaboration Which May Appear On ‘Vultures 2’

Big Sean is gearing up to release his first album in four years and gave fans a surprise treat. He previewed a track produced by Kanye West titled “Fighting Fires.”

The Detroit rapper revealed that the song may appear on West’s forthcoming Vultures 2 collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign. “We in this bi**h, back focused, right?/ F**k that overnight success, I want it over life/ I’m overseeing what I’m seeing, f**k a oversight/ From the other side of the screen like a poltergeist/ I’m in this bi**h dropping gems like I’m off the ice/ They had to name they son Sean cause the boy that bright, right?” he rapped.

Sean and Ye working together is a bit surprising given their falling out a few years ago. The Chicago producer joined Drink Champs and claimed that signing the Detroit 2 artist to his G.O.O.D Music label was the worst decision he ever made. He also took issue with the fact Sean and John Legend opposed his political beliefs and controversial behavior. Sean replied by calling what he said some “bi**h a** sh*t.”

Big Sean revealed that he has new music coming out this week and he has been struggling with making this new album, committing to sobriety, and being away from his son and Jhené Aiko while they are on tour. “I’ve been having a hard f**king time, dawg, I’m not gon’ lie,” he said. “Been in this bi**h [the studio] trying to finish this album, and I’m kinda tired of overthinking. And, by the way, I’ve been trying to be on some sober sh*t so a ni**a out here raw-dogging his emotions, bro.”

He went on to explain why he has chosen a sober lifestyle. “I stopped drinking in 2022 ’cause that sh*t was just f**king me up,” he said. “Mentally, that muthaf**king alcohol, it’s a depressent so if you dealing with any anxiety like me — I always be thinking about what I gotta do, how I gotta do it, what’s next et cetera.”

As for his upcoming album, Sean believes it shows the many layers of him as a person. “You know what I love about this album? It’s so many different sides of me,” he said. “It’s multi-f**king-faceted, just like me. I meditate every morning, but I also got straps in the studio — not them straps; I keep guns. [This album] really represents what the f**k I’ve been going through for these past couple of years.” He claims it is his “best music” and while there will be features, it is much more of a solo endeavor.
