Jodeci Announces 35th Anniversary ‘Forever My Lady’ Tour Dates

The legendary R&B group Jodeci is hitting the road. The group has officially announced the dates for their upcoming U.S. tour in honor of the 35th anniversary of their seminal debut album, Forever My Lady. Fans can look forward to a massive 36-date run that promises to celebrate the group’s enduring legacy in the music industry.

The tour is set to launch on October 24 at The Masonic in San Francisco. From there, the iconic crooners will make stops in major markets including Las Vegas, Detroit, Chicago, Baltimore, and Atlanta. The tour will conclude on December 20 with a special performance in their hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina.

“Thirty-five years ago, Forever My Lady changed our lives,” K-Ci Hailey and Mr. Dalvin of Jodeci said in a joint statement. “The love and connection we share with our fans is unmatched and this tour is for them — the people who stood by us from day one. Get ready, we’re going to leave everything on the stage for you.”

Tickets for the anniversary tour are currently on sale. Released on May 28, 1991, via Uptown Records, Forever My Lady was a cultural phenomenon, spending two weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album, written and produced by DeVante Swing, spawned timeless hits such as “Come & Talk To Me,” “Stay,” and the title track, all of which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

The album’s success paved the way for a groundbreaking run in the 1990s, followed by subsequent projects like Diary Of A Mad Band and The Show, The After Party, The Hotel. In 2015, the group returned with The Past, the Present, the Future, which debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart.

Earlier this year, Forever My Lady was reissued on 2LP vinyl to commemorate its 35th anniversary, featuring bonus tracks and a previously unreleased a cappella version of “Stay.”
