Jeezy Celebrates Historic Las Vegas Residency with LeBron James

Jeezy’s “Legend of the Snowman” Las Vegas residency has once again solidified its place in music history. Over a high-energy weekend, the Atlanta rap icon delivered two sold-out performances, culminating in a “grande finale” at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s PH Live.

The festivities reached a fever pitch on Saturday when Clark County Commissioner William McCurdy II officially proclaimed August 22 as “Jay ‘Jeezy’ Jenkins Day.” However, the evening’s most unexpected moment arrived when NBA superstar LeBron James took the stage to present Jeezy with the prestigious Key to the Las Vegas Strip.

“For 20 years, y’all been riding fam, for 20 years. We started this journey together 20 years ago, y’all,” a tuxedo-clad James told the roaring crowd. “I want everybody to give a shout-out to my nigga, Jay. Mr. 17.5 did his own day in Las Vegas. I’m here to present you with the key to the city. It’s all yours.”

This latest accolade follows a series of historic achievements for the residency. Last November, the production earned a Guinness World Record for the “Largest orchestra for a hip-hop music concert,” featuring the 101-piece Color of Noize Orchestra. With a 30-date run, “Legend of the Snowman” currently holds the title for the longest-running hip-hop residency in Las Vegas history.

Building on this momentum, Jeezy has announced nine additional dates for the residency, including a highly anticipated New Year’s Eve show. Tickets are currently available through various presale channels, with general sales beginning on Wednesday, August 26.
