Tone Stith’s ‘Fly’ Reaches No. 1 on Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Chart
Tone Stith celebrates his first No. 1 hit on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart with his latest single, ‘Fly.’
Tone Stith is reaching new heights in his musical career. His latest single, “Fly,” has officially ascended to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, successfully ending the one-week reign of the R&B group Sentury and their track, “Forever.”
Since its release on December 12, 2025, “Fly” has steadily climbed the ranks. After debuting on the chart dated February 2, the song broke into the top 10 by early April, a period when Tank held the top position with his hit, “Control.” This milestone marks Stith’s first-ever No. 1 on this specific chart, following his previous success with the 2024 collaboration “Waiting On You,” which featured producer Camper and peaked at No. 4.
Reflecting on the achievement, Stith shared, “It’s been a long journey to get here. To see ‘Fly’ reach number one and feel the love from radio and the fans means everything.”
The track’s momentum extends beyond the Adult R&B Airplay chart. It has also climbed to No. 13 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and debuted at No. 21 on the Hot R&B Songs chart. Furthermore, on Mediabase’s R&B radio chart, “Fly” surged from No. 3 to No. 1, bolstered by 1,894 spins and 7.46 million audience impressions.
Stith attributes the success of the song to his dedicated team, including producers Kenneth “KP” Paige, Brody Brown, and B Ham. He noted that “Fly” represents a shift in his artistic focus, moving away from traditional love songs toward a more personal narrative. “This is the first song where I’m not speaking about love. I’m speaking a hundred percent truth on what I’ve gone through and what I’ve had to overcome in my life,” he explained.
“Fly” is set to be a centerpiece of Stith’s upcoming album, The Edge, which is scheduled for release on May 15 via MNRK Records. This project marks his first release since signing with the label and serves as the follow-up to his 2023 EP, P.O.V.
