Mariah Carey’s ‘Here For It All’ Album: Everything We Know So Far

A new Mariah Carey era has begun. After a seven-year hiatus (sorta), the iconic singer and songwriter is gearing up to release her 16th album, Here For It All.

The highly awaited project follows Carey’s 2018 offering, Caution, which spawned singles such as “GTFO,” “With You” and “A No No.” Since then, Carey has kept her lambs — the nickname of her core fans — fed with several celebratory releases.

In 2019, she honored the 25th anniversary of her landmark holiday album Merry Christmas, which included her immortal hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” with a special deluxe edition that featured rare remixes, live tracks and more.

In July 2020, Carey launched her #MC30 campaign with The Live Debut, an EP consisting of songs she performed at the Tatou Club in New York City in 1990. She followed up with remix EPs of songs from her iconic albums, including Daydream, Music Box, Butterfly, and Rainbow.

In fall 2020, she released The Rarities, a stunning collection of songs unearthed from her vault and tracks performed live at Tokyo Dome in 1996, when she was on her Daydream World Tour. She concluded 2020 with Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special (Apple TV+ Original Soundtrack).

Keeping the momentum going in 2021, Carey dropped more EPs for #MC30, including for Charmbracelet, The Emancipation of Mimi and E=MC2. Over the last few years, Carey has also released commemorative deluxe albums, including Butterfly (25th Anniversary Expanded Edition), Music Box (30th Anniversary Edition), Rainbow (25th Anniversary Expanded Edition) and most recently The Emancipation of Mimi (20th Anniversary Edition).

Aside from her own music, Carey also collaborated with Ariana Grande for her “yes, and?” remix and joined Muni Long on her “Made For Me (Remix).” Not to mention, the Queen of Christmas has been touring annually since 2022 and even made time for her fifth Las Vegas residency, The Celebration of Mimi, which wrapped up in February.

Amid her busy schedule, Carey was quietly working on her 16th studio album. In a 2023 interview with Good Morning America, she confirmed, “I’ve been working … on just writing new songs. Yesterday we were in the studio working on something with a choir, working on a new song. So it’s exciting.”

As Mariah Carey prepares to release Here For It All, Rated R&B uncovers everything we know about the album so far, including the release date, collaborators, confirmed tracks and more.

There’s a gospel moment, there’s kind of a jazzy moment. It’s really my favorite but I didn’t think I could put it anywhere but the end — just the way it goes off into these tangents at the end.”
