Elmiene Announces New Mixtape ‘Heat the Streets’
Emerging British-Sudanese singer Elmiene has revealed his new mixtape Heat the Streets will release Sept. 5 via Polydoor/Def Jam.
The 12-track offering will include the newly shared lead single, “Useless (Without You),” produced by Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman.
Over an acoustic-laden backdrop, Elmiene grapples with the disorientation of love lost. “Without you, I wasn’t meant to be outside / Without you, there’s no colors in my life / Without you, no other love can satisfy me,” he croons.
Heat the Streets will follow 2024’s For The Departed and Anyway I Can. The latter project included the D’Mile-produced ballad “Crystal Tears,” as well as the standouts “Sweetness” and “Light Work.”
Circling back to Heat the Streets, the project will include Elmiene’s take on Carole King’s “You’ve Got A Friend.”
On Aug. 27, Elmiene will perform at Spotify and Live Nation Urban’s RNB X Live: The U.K. Sound concert at Irving Plaza. He will be joined by fellow U.K. R&B singers Sasha Keable and Venna.
