Joyner Lucas Returns Fire At Skepta With “Nobody Cares” Diss Record
Joyner Lucas is coming out swinging with his latest release, “Nobody Cares,” an aggressive diss track aimed squarely at British rap star Skepta and the broader U.K. rap scene.
The fiery new track arrives just days after Skepta dropped “Friendly Fire,” a record he teased during the ongoing debate over U.K. rappers’ lyrical ability compared to their American counterparts.
Lucas, never one to back down from lyrical warfare, makes his position crystal clear with “Nobody Cares,” delivering a barrage of pointed insults and dismissals toward Skepta. The cover art features Joyner in a ski mask and jacket emblazoned with both the U.S. and U.K. flags split down the middle—symbolizing the cross-Atlantic clash.
“Nobody cares you was that ni**a back in the days/ You only popping in the UK, but we don’t play your sh*t in the States,” Lucas spits on the track’s scathing second verse.
He continues, “Nobody cares how many women that you played/ Or how many bullets that you sprayed or who bringing you out on stage,” a sharp jab seemingly referencing Skepta’s recent guest appearance during Drake’s headlining Wireless Festival set.
Lucas doesn’t stop there, adding, “Nobody cares about how you and Drizzy are close/ Or how you invented UK Rap, but still ain’t top ten on your Coast,” challenging Skepta’s legacy in his own backyard.

The track comes after Skepta called for a lyrical clash between U.K. and U.S. artists, writing on X, “I wanna clash an American rapper. Finally get this UK/US rap debate sorted.”
Following a brief exchange with Joyner, Skepta fired his first shots on “Friendly Fire” with lines like:
“Joyner Lucas, you bastard/ Why you rap like you studied at Harvard?/ Catch him outside and move to him, heartless…”
With “Nobody Cares,” Joyner Lucas officially enters the battle, raising the stakes in what’s shaping up to be a heated transatlantic lyrical showdown.
