Kobe Bryant Reportedly Wanted Helicopter Flight To Be Earlier
Kobe Bryant wanted to leave earlier on the day of the accident since he was hoping to catch a game.
Kobe Bryant was killed in a tragic helicopter crash alongside his daughter Gianna and seven others back in January. It was a truly devastating story that had the entire world reeling in disbelief. Since the crash, numerous details have been revealed, including how the pilot was a bit wary of leaving on that fateful day as there was a lot of fog in the sky.
Now, Bryant’s personal assistant Crate Brady is speaking out about what Kobe’s schedule was looking like that day. As Brady noted, the flight was actually supposed to take off a little later, but it left ahead of schedule because Kobe wanted to watch some other teams play before Gianna’s game. The helicopter ended up leaving at around 9:15 AM as opposed to 9:45 AM.

“That particular day, for Sunday, I actually changed the time the night before, probably around 6pm or 7pm,” Brady said per Yahoo! Sports. “Because Kobe had decided he wanted to go to watch another team play before his game. So it was supposed to be a 9:45am departure, but the night before it was changed to a 9am departure.”
Yesterday, Vanessa Bryant spoke to congress and asked them to pass new legislation that would apply to helicopters with six or more passengers on board. The bill would help save lives and would avoid any further tragedies like the one we saw on January 26th.
