D'Angelo Russell Explains Who Is To Blame For Rocky Lakers Stint
D’Angelo Russell had a pretty rough start to his career with the Los Angeles Lakers.
D’Angelo Russell has had a very interesting start to his NBA career. It all started with the Los Angeles Lakers and due to some poor decisions in regards to his teammates’ personal lives, Russell found himself on a completely different team: the Brooklyn Nets. Russell saw a complete career resurgence while playing for the Nets and his value spiked which led to a trade to the Golden State Warriors. Now, Russell is playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves with his best friend, Karl-Anthony Towns.
In a recent interview with Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic, Russell spoke at length about his career and how he had quite an interesting experience in Los Angeles. Russell even chimed in as to who was to blame for his unsuccessful stint in the city. As he explained, it all fell on his shoulders.

“I didn’t know how to be a professional and the guidance wasn’t there also,” Russell said. “I don’t blame anybody. I blame myself. It was really a blur to me, just in the sense that the things that I’ve been through ever since then.”
Russell had clearly matured quite a bit since that time and these days, players around the NBA see him as a good teammate. If he can sustain success with the T-Wolves moving forward, there is no doubt he can be one of the league’s most prominent stars.
