‘Untold Stories of Hip Hop’ Set to Air Special Quarantine Edition
Summer hip-hop concerts may have been put on hold, but the stories will continue as WE tv’s Untold Stories of Hip Hop: In Quarantine will air a special extension episode on Thursday, May 28th.
Hosted by legendary hip-hop artist and radio host Angie Martinez, will focus on how some of the industry’s hottest stars are navigating the current situation of quarantine and social distancing like the rest of us.
Some of the show’s staple stars, including Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Nelly, and more, are expected to join Martinez as they look back at their original, illuminating interviews, catch up on what’s happened in their lives and careers since then and during the recent pandemic and quarantine, and reveal new untold stories along the way.
The special episode is expected to follow the show’s traditional format in which Martinez invites friends from the hip-hop industry and pop culture to join her over drinks, games, and more, as they dish on the industry’s never-before-heard stories of what went down behind the scenes.
While Martinez will not be able to host her guests in person, the special will be held as a virtual viewing party using Zoom technology. Martinez and her guests are also expected to be virtually joined by celeb fans eager to share their own takes on what went down.
During season one, Untold Stories of Hip Hop featured never-before-told tales from the biggest names in hip hop, including interviews with Cardi B, Snoop Dogg, Queen Latifah, Ice Cube, Nelly, A$AP Rocky, DJ Khaled, Wyclef Jean, and more icons and upcoming artists.
