Tory Lanez Ready to Drop ‘The New Toronto 3’ and Become Independent Artist
Tory Lanez has had label issues for a while now and at one point even threatened to expose Interscope Records on Instagram live. But, with The New Toronto 3 dropping on Friday with almost no promotion from Tory, the “Chixtape” performer is ready to regain his independence.
“It’s crazy to think that I drop my last mixtape/project with Interscope on Friday,” Tory posted on Twitter. “Literally a free man!!!! Free to do and drop the music that I want.”
Tory Lanez signed a five album deal with Interscope and fulfilled his contract with I Told You, Memories Don’t Die, Love Me Now, Chixtape 5 and on Friday The New Toronto 3 will fulfill his contract.
“I apologize that midway thru this I had to dumb down my creativity and not give y’all the 100% quality in my music that y’all deserved to hear for so long,” Tory wrote on Instagram about the music he’s released through the label over the years.
According to Tory, The new project that was originally supposed to drop in March is his most creative to date but is only a taste of what’s to come once he becomes independent.
He also revealed the tracklist for TNT3 on social media.
