Hurry Up Tomorrow will mark the final installment of Abel’s album trilogy, following 2020’s After Hours and succeeded by 2022’s Dawn FM. The former spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, while the latter came close with a No. 2 peak.
According to press materials, Hurry Up Tomorrow “marks the creative peak of the series, weaving together existential and self-referential themes, as showcased in the latest teasers that have ignited fans’ excitement for this highly anticipated conclusion.”
Earlier this month, The Weeknd kicked off the Australian leg of his After Hours Til Dawn Tour in Melbourne. He will close out his four-show trek in Sydney at Accor Stadium on Oct. 22 and Oct. 23. Rising singer Chxrry22, who is signed to his XO Records, is supporting him as an opening act.
The Weeknd, who is a United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Goodwill Ambassador, has partnered with WFP to donate $1 local equivalent from each ticket sale from the Australia concerts to the XO Humanitarian Fund, which supports the organization’s response to the unprecedented global hunger crisis.
A release date for Hurry Up Tomorrow has not been announced at this time. However, the album is available for pre-sale on The Weeknd’s official website.
