Snoop Dogg Admits to Being ‘Brainwashed’ to Believe He Couldn’t Vote With a Criminal Record
Snoop Dogg shared that he never voted before but he plans to use his power this year to try to get Donald Trump out of office.
“I ain’t never voted a day in my life, but this year I think Imma get out and vote ’cause I can’t stand to see this punk in office,” Snoop Dogg said on Big Boy’s Neighborhood on The Real 92.3. “For many years, they had me brainwashed thinking that you couldn’t vote because you had a criminal record. I didn’t know that. My record’s been expunged. So now I can vote.”
Snoop “definitely” plans to cast a vote in 2020. “We gotta make a difference,” the veteran rapper continued. “You can’t talk about it and not be about it. I can’t tell you to do and then don’t go do it. Everybody know I’m a frontliner. I ain’t gon’ tell you to do something that I didn’t do. If I tell you to do something, I don’t did it already.”
Snoop Dogg isn’t the first rapper planning to cast his first ballot this year. Kanye West announced that he planned to vote for this first time for the 2020 Presidential election, but he’s voting for Trump.
There’s a revolution currently brewing and it’s interesting to see how the Black community is going to show up in the polls in the midst of two ongoing pandemics.
