Roots Picnic 2026 Lineup Announced: Jaÿ-Z, Erykah Badu, Brandy and More
The Roots and Live Nation Urban have unveiled the lineup for the 2026 Roots Picnic. The two-day festival returns to Philadelphia on May 30 and May 31 at Belmont Plateau.
Rap icon JAŸ-Z will headline day one, where he will be backed by The Roots for the first time in over a decade. Meanwhile, the First Lady of Neo-Soul, Erykah Badu, is at the top of the bill for day two.
Other confirmed performers include Brandy, Kehlani, T.I., Bilal and Destin Conrad.
Multi-instrumentalist Adam Blackstone will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Waiting To Exhale soundtrack with Yolanda Adams, Ledisi, Tamar Braxton, Andra Day and more. Plus, super producer Jermaine Durpi will hit the stage with surprise guests.
“Moving the Roots Picnic to Belmont Plateau and bringing Jay-Z and The Roots together to perform are both bucket-list moments for us,” said Shawn Gee, The Roots’ manager and president of Live Nation Urban.
Gee continued, “After meeting with Mayor Cherelle Parker and hearing her vision for Philly 250, she truly inspired us to dream even bigger, and we’re grateful to her, Commissioner Susan Slawson, Jazelle Jones and everyone who helped make it happen. We can’t wait to see everyone in May at the Plat.”
Tickets for the 2026 Roots Picnic are on sale now at rootspicnic.com. The ticket types include: 2-Day General Admission Experience (starting at $250), 2-Day GA+ Experience (starting at $425), 2-Day Silver VIP Experience (starting at $999), 2-Day Gold VIP Experience (starting at $1,499). The latter two packages are already sold out.
The 2025 Roots Picnic was headlined by Maxwell, Lenny Kravitz, with additional performances by Musiq Soulchild, Jagged Edge, Elmiene, Tems and more.
