Philadelphia Couple Gets Married During Black Lives Matter Protest

While enormous crowds of people flooded the Philadelphia streets and parks on Saturday to protest racism and brutality, two love birds that it was a good time to jump the broom.

Kerry-Anne and Michael Gordon began their wedding ceremony outdoors along with thousands of demonstrators who came upon Benjamin Franklin Parkway to protest police violence in wake of George Floyd’s death.

The couple’s ceremony was held outside of the Logan Hotel which is located in downtown Philadelphia. Marchers showered them with applause and cheers.

The Today Show posted the happy couple kissing as they were pronounced husband and wife, and witnesses took pictures of them. “The power of love on so many levels #BlackLivesMatter #phillyprotest,” tweeted a witness.
