October London’s ‘Mulholland Drive’ Spends Second Week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay Chart
October London’s latest single, “Mulholland Drive,” is parked at No. 1 for a second week on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.
The soulful track, which features Snoop Dogg and LaToiya Williams, first topped the chart dated for Aug. 3.
“Mulholland Drive” is also No. 1 at R&B radio this week, while Muni Long‘s “Make Me Forget” rises from No. 4 to No. 2.
In its second week atop the Mediabase-monitored chart, the song garnered 1,884 spins for an audience impression of 7.17 million.
While it occupies the No. 1 spot for a second week, “Mulholland Drive” received 180 fewer spins compared to last week (2,064).
“Mulholland Drive” is London’s second No. 1 hit on both Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart and Mediabase’s R&B Radio chart.
In 2023, he topped both charts with his breakout hit “Back to Your Place,” which spent 11 weeks at No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart.
“Mulholland Drive” and “Back to Your Place” appear on London’s debut album, The Rebirth of Marvin, released in 2023 via Death Row Records/gamma.
The Rebirth of Marvin was featured on Rated R&B’s Best R&B Albums of 2023 list. “Perhaps the most compelling thing about The Rebirth of Marvin is the recurring theme of putting love and compassion back at the core of R&B,” Anders Hare wrote.
October London will join Maxwell’s The Serenade Tour, which begins Sept. 14 in Hollywood, Florida.
The 27-city tour, which will also feature Jazmine Sullivan, will make stops in Baltimore, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Memphis, and Oakland. The tour wraps up Oct. 27 in Los Angeles.
In other news, London recently collaborated with jazz saxophonist Boney James (“All I Want Is You“) and NxWorries, the duo composed of Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge (“FromHere“).
