New York Prosecutors Reportedly 'Tired' of R. Kelly Release Requests

R. Kelly and his legal team have been petitioning for months, but it has increased with the threat of COVID-19 in prison systems. The self-proclaimed “Pied Piper” is in Chicago MCC awaiting trial on two separate criminal cases but is asking to be released during the pandemic to girlfriend Joycelynn Savage’s home. 

Prosecutors in New York are asking the courts to shut down his request for release, and reportedly are over R. Kelly attempting to get a release, The Blast reports. The report states the prosecutors are “really tired of hearing the disgraced singer complain” about how he is in jail.

In the past R. Kelly has used his health condition, access to outside and more in transitioning from solitary confinement to general population Ultimately he requests a bond opportunity but that has yet to be provided.
