Naesketchie Speaks On Managing Roc Nation Artist Angelica Vila and Nightlife Entrepreneurship

When it comes to the Entertainment Industry, Joel “Naesketchie” Molina is a Multifaceted Entrepreneur. He is the CEO of Sketchie Entertainment, MAZCO Original and oversees various brands, as well as talent management. With over 15 years in the nightlife industry, Naesketchie is definitely a vet in the game. He’s notorious for hosting and managing a majority of the greatest and unforgettable social events in uptown New York. Through his work he’s built genuine relationships with major artists such as Cardi B, French Montana, Fat Joe, Future, Fabolous, Pardi, Justin Combs, Casanova, A-Boogie and more. 

“I am always thankful and appreciative of my career in the nightlife,” he said. “The nightlife industry has definitely helped me build relationships with some of the biggest icons in music.” 

The Bronx native got his start back in 2004. At the time he was in high school working multiple jobs. Some days he would usher at Lehman College and other days he was a Sales Associate at Dr. Jays, a popular streetwear clothing store in NY. In addition to that he would also create custom spray painted t-shirts and sell them. The transition into entertainment occurred after his friend suggested that he begin hosting house parties due to popularity. He ran with the suggestion and asked his sister to let him host a “get together” at her apartment. What she didn’t know is that it was a full-blown party and he was charging people $5 at the door.

He quickly became known for hosting the most talked about parties. That led him to promoting at the Legendary X Bar. X Bar was his way into the nightlife. It was the party spot for DJ’s and celebrities but while everyone was partying, he was networking and building connections. In addition to nightlife, he also manages Roc Nation Artist Angelica Vila. 

“Managing the first Lady of Sketchie Entertainment, Angelica Vila is an amazing experience, he said. “As many may know already, Angelica is my niece and being able to work with family isn’t known to be the easiest thing to do but I got blessed to have such an amazing, humble, talented, and loving niece which makes my job 10x easier.”

Fat Joe is also involved in Angelica’s career and he is the one that presented her to Roc Nation. Joe and Naesketchie are currently working overtime with her as she plans on releasing her first R&B album this Summer. 

Naesketchie keeps so busy that he doesn’t take as much time as he should to look back on all his achievements over the years. He’s responsible for bringing hip-hop and radio DJ’s to the Uptown community and making it known for more than just Spanish culture.  

“Throughout my journey I have accomplished many victoires and I often cut myself short by not giving myself enough but I can say that I was the one who started the Hip-Hop genre events throughout Uptown, NY,” he said. “Knowing that I accomplished this motivated me to continue going and to start more trends for the uptown community.”
