Miguel Announces New Album ‘CAOS’ and Release Date
Miguel has announced his fifth album, CAOS, will release Oct. 23, his 40th birthday, via ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records.
“MY 5th STUDIO ALBUM TITLED CAOS OUT OCTOBER 23rd, 2025,” he shared on Instagram to his 4.8 million followers.
The post also unveiled the official cover art, showing a blurred black-and-white portrait of him with CAOS overlaid in bold red font.
Speaking on his new album, Miguel notes, “To rebuild, I had to destroy myself. That is the core confrontation of CAOS. Through my personal evolution, I learned that transformation is violent. CAOS is the sonic iteration of me bending that violence into something universally felt.”
Along with his new album announcement, Miguel has released the title track directly to his fans via his S1C.LA platform. The song will likely arrive on digital services providers like Spotify and Apple Music soon.
Leading up to the album announcement, the Grammy winner was hinting at the album’s title in several Instagram posts, including one showing “CAOS” tatted on a woman’s inner lip and another of him wearing a baseball cap with the title on it.
CAOS, the follow-up to 2017’s War & Leisure, will also include “Always Time,” which was released in November 2024.
“This may be the most difficult song I’ve ever had to write — for all of the life lessons and experiences that live between each line,” said Miguel about “Always Time.” He added, “I’m grateful for the closure it has given me and know it’s the most honest way to begin this chapter of my artistry and relationship with my audience.”
