Kwn Signs to RCA Records, Shares New EP ‘With All Due Respect’

R&B newcomer kwn (pronounced kay-wuhn) has signed a deal with RCA Records.

The East London native joins a roster that includes Chris Brown, SZA, Miguel, Bryson Tiller, Jazmine Sullivan, Khalid and Normani, to name a few.

Along with her new label announcement, kwn has released her new EP, With All Due Respect. The project was preceded by the singles “Worst Behaviour” featuring Kehlani and “Do What I Say.”

With All Due Respect is steeped in nine lush tracks, where kwn balances her confident swagger with her romantic impulses. “Back of the Club,” which contains the DNA of a ’90s R&B slow jam, hears her singing, “I wanna get drunk in the back of the club with you.”

On “Talk You Through It,” which features British R&B group FLO, kwn assures her love interest that they’re in good hands in the bedroom: “I’ma keep you wet and you fed.”

“All the Girls,” which interpolates Cherrelle and Alexander O’Neal’s “Saturday Love,” finds kwn navigating the dating scene as a hopeless romantic: “Must be something in the air ’cause it seems like I’ve been falling in love on / Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.”

Speaking on With All Due Respect, kwn says, “This project is me setting a foundation for myself in R&B. I’ve done a few great features this past year and now I want people to start taking me in for who I am as an artist.”

She continues, “I feel a lot of people had previously been sleeping on me & doubting me. With all due respect, they should have never done that. Bow!”

With All Due Respect is the follow-up to kwn’s 2022 EP, Episode Wn, which included the Scribz Riley-assisted “Sweetie.”
