Despite what your personal use of the internet may be, it’s still a place that is highly capable of weakening your mental health.
Social media, or the internet as a whole, makes the user transparent to lives, and as a result, millions of viewers judge them daily. Some celebs rave about the criticisms fans, and gossip blogs dish out, while others take it as internet bullying.
Rapper Kodak Black gave out advice on how to live an easy real-life off social media. He tweeted, “Life is really simple, social media made it complicated”.
Recently, the Florida rapper gave out 100 air conditioning units in Riviera Beach. He also said that he wanted to donate up to 1 million dollars to charity.
Lil Durk also chimed in on the misusage of the internet. His focus wasn’t necessarily mental health, but his message was geared to people making the job of law enforcement easier by broadcasting their lifestyle, which could include criminal activity.
On Twitter, he said, “Stop letting the internet trick you into telling on yourself ….. move in silence.”
Lately, there has been an influx of Hip-Hop artists going to jail. Popular rappers such as NBA Youngboy, Pooh Shiesty, YFN Lucci, Casanova, and YNW Melly. Just recently, Baton Rouge rapper Fredo Bang got arrested in Miami just before his Rolling Loud performance.
