Kanye West Files New Documents to Confirm 2020 Run for President
Kanye will definitely be running for President.
Despite several other reports that have announced otherwise, Kanye West has secured his run for POTUS with his latest filing of documents with the Federal Election Commission on Thursday.
West has filed a Statement of Candidacy, which shows he’s spent $5K or more in his campaign. Even though that’s peanuts for the music and fashion mogul, that move boosted Ye up to candidacy status under the federal statute.
This is the second, and most critical set of documents that Kanye has filed with the Federal Election Commission. The initial filing was a Statement of Organization for the campaign, filed on Wednesday, which announces the Kanye 2020 committee will serve as the Principal Campaign Committee.
West lists Cody, Wyoming as his residence.
Kanye qualified to get on the ballot in Oklahoma, but missed the filing date to get on the ballot in the swing state of Florida.
