Halle Bailey Announces New Single ‘In Your Hands’

Halle Bailey has new music on the way. The Grammy-nominated singer has announced her new single “In Your Hands” will release March 15 via Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records.

“You guys have asked for it, so i’ll gladly give it to you,” Halle wrote in an Instagram caption for behind-the-scenes footage of her Essence cover shoot. The clip included a snippet of the ballad, which can be heard below.

Halle went to Snapchat to further express her excitement about the song. “You guys have been begging me for this song, and I’m incredibly excited because this has never happened with one of my songs before, where it’s getting this sort of reaction before I even put it out,” she said. “I’m super excited for you guys to hear the full song, to see it and to finally have it. Thank you so, so much for being so persistent about this song. It’s because of you guys that I am able to put it out.”

“In Your Hands” is the follow-up to Halle’s debut solo single “Angel.” The stunning ballad was nominated for Best R&B Song at the 66th Grammy Awards.

“Angel,” co-written by Halle, Coleridge Tillman and Theron Feemster, was released Aug. 4, 2023. It debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales, No. 6 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and No. 23 on the Digital Song Sales charts.

At the time of publication, the empowering ballad has over 15.5 million streams on Spotify.

Since releasing “Angel,” Halle has contributed to The Color Purple soundtrack. Halle, who co-stars as young Nettie in the musical adaption film, appears on “Keep Pushin’ (Missy Elliott Remix).”
