Gallant Announces ‘Zinc Tour: Part 1’ Dates

Alt-R&B singer Gallant has unveiled the dates for part one of his headlining Zinc Tour.

Rising singer Alicia Creti and genre-bending sibling group Infinity Song will join him as special guests in select cities.

The North American leg begins Jan. 23, 2025, at Music Box in San Diego. From there, Gallant will make stops in Las Vegas, Seattle, Vancouver, Portland and more. He will conclude Feb. 8 at The Novo in Los Angeles.

“It’s been too long. Words can’t express how much I’ve missed seeing you all from the stage — I cannot wait for us to all get together again,” Gallant wrote on social media.

More cities will be announced at a later date. “If you don’t see your city on here, let me know (I’m taking notes)— I promise I won’t forget about you and more dates will be added soon,” he wrote in the same post.

The Grammy-nominated singer’s upcoming tour will support his third album, Zinc. (stylized with a period), released Sept. 27 via Mom + Pop.

Zinc. was preceded by the singles “Coldstar.,” “Fly On the Wall. (Osaka Version),” “Crimes of Compassion.,” and “Centigrade.” featuring Nao

Regarding the latter track, he explained, “It’s about the fallout of an argument, there’s a period where you’re alone afterwards, and you have to think about what started it. I’m fascinated by the idea of that pause. It’s an interesting purgatory.”

In an interview with Rated R&B, Gallant revealed how his 2018 standalone track “Gentleman” loosely inspired “Centigrade.”

“[For] ‘Gentleman,’ I pulled up a beat and was like, ‘I want to write this very straightforward sex jam, but I want to put bits of ambiance and experimentation around it.’ For [‘Centigrade.’], it was the inverse. I was like, ‘What’s something I could be talking about that kind of references the aftermath of ‘Gentleman’? What can exist in this same space [and] what can I do to give it a different twist that’s also more in the headspace I’m in?’

He also explained why he believes Zinc. is his best album yet. “I think it’s the best of the things I love about other bodies of work I’ve done… I really nailed the aspects of the songwriting. The writing is specific,” Gallant told Rated R&B. “With this one, I said things that were hard for me to say. I put things together sonically that I really wanted to hear. I worked with Ariza on the production of the whole album. It’s hard for me to categorize what it is in almost every song. Some songs have more on the scale of one or two genres than others, but it is all cohesive.”
