Eric Benét, Chanté Moore’s ‘So Distracted’ Hits Top 10 on Billboard

Eric Benét and Chanté Moore‘s duet “So Distracted” has reached a new milestone on Billboard.
The romantic ballad rises from No. 11 to No. 10 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart, led by Victoria Monét and Usher‘s “SOS (Sex On Sight)” for a second nonconsecutive week.
It tallies Benét’s 14th top 10 hit on the Adult R&B Airplay chart and Moore’s fourth. Benét’s last visit was in 2024, where his Tamar Braxton-assisted “Something We Can Make Love To” reached No. 1.
The latter marked his first top 10 since 2017’s “Insane” and his first No. 1 since 2010’s “Sometimes I Cry,” which ruled for five weeks.
It’s worth noting that Benét has achieved not only a top 10 hit but a No. 1 in each decade since he made his solo debut: 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s.
Moore’s last visit to the top 10 was with her 2017 single “Real One,” which peaked at No. 10. Her highest reach was with her 1999 hit “Chanté’s Got a Man,” which charted for 26 weeks and peaked at No. 2.
Here is an overview of Eric Benét’s top 10 hits on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart:

Benét’s “So Distracted” is the latest single from his 2024 EP, Duets. “Eric and I have been promising each other that we’d find the right song to do for the longest time,” Moore shared. “When he played me the track for ‘So Distracted,’ I jumped up and said, THIS IS IT!! I love this song, I love singing with Eric.”
The mini project, which includes the Braxton-assisted “Something We Can Make Love To,” features additional duets with Corinne Bailey Rae, LaTocha, and Ledisi.
Duets follows Benét’s self-titled album, released in 2016. “If I look back on my entire career, I think my duets were some of the most powerful songs. For the past 10 years, it’s always been in the back of my mind, like, ‘Yo, one of these days, I need to do a whole album where it’s all duets,” Benét told Rated R&B. “This seems the perfect opportunity because I haven’t had a project out in like eight years.”
Benét is current on the R&B Invitation Tour with Joe and Musiq Soulchild. The tour wraps up May 11 at Cheaspeake Arena in Baltimore.
