Chris Brown’s ‘Sensational’ Spends Second Week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay Chart
Chris Brown’s single “Sensational” featuring Davido and Lojay holds onto the No. 1 spot for a second consecutive week on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.
It marks Brown’s longest-running No. 1 on this chart since his 2020 hit “Go Crazy” with Young Thug, which dominated for seven weeks.
As previously reported, the Afrobeats-tinged track first topped the chart on the week of Aug. 24. It marked Brown’s fifth No. 1 on the chart and the first chart-topper for both Davido and Lojay.
Here’s an overview of Chris Brown’s No. 1s on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, in order by longest run:
- “No Guidance” featuring Drake, 11 weeks at No. 1 (2020)
- “Go Crazy” with Young Thug, 7 weeks at No. 1 (2020)
- “Sensational” featuring Davido and Lojay, two weeks at No. 1 so far (2024)
- “Come Through,” H.E.R. featuring Chris Brown, one week at No. 1 (2022)
- “See Through Love,” Tank featuring Chris Brown, one week at No. 1 (2023)
Elsewhere on Billboard, “Sensational” topped Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, while it peaked at No. 3 on R&B Digital Song Sales, and peaked at No. 6 on Hot R&B Songs. It also reached No. 71 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Sensational” has also reached No. 1 on R&B radio this week, displacing “One Night Stand” by Marsha Ambrosius. The song, produced by DJ Hardwerk, has garnered 2,142 spins for an audience impression of 9.42 million.
With its new peak atop R&B radio, “Sensational” has now gone No. 1 across three Mediabase-monitored formats, including urban radio and rhythmic radio.
“Sensational” is featured on Brown’s latest album, 11:11. The award-winning track was released on Oct. 20, 2023, as the second single from his 11th album, following its Grammy-nominated lead single, “Summer Too Hot.”
The standard version of 11:11 consists of features from Byron Messia, Fridayy, Future, and Maeta. Meanwhile, the expanded edition, released in April, also includes additional appearances from Davido, Mario and Bryson Tiller.
11:11 (Deluxe) includes 13 new tracks, including the fan-driven track “Residuals.”
