Chris Brown’s ‘No Guidance’ Surpasses 1 Billion Streams on Spotify

Chris Brown has achieved a new milestone on Spotify. His 2019 single “No Guidance,” featuring Drake, has reached one billion streams on the platform.

The Grammy-nominated track is Brown’s second song to achieve this feat on Spotify. Brown’s sleeper hit “Under the Influence” was the first single to cross the billion mark last September. As for Drake, “No Guidance” is his 15th credited song to reach one billion streams. 

“No Guidance” landed Brown multiple No. 1s across radio formats, including urban and rhythmic. On Billboard, the song peaked at No. 5 on the Hot 100. “No Guidance” also reached No. 1 on the following Billboard charts:

  • R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay (27 weeks)
  • Adult R&B Airplay (11 weeks)
  • Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay (10 weeks)
  • Hot R&B Songs (9 weeks)
  • R&B Digital Song Sales (5 weeks)
  • Rhythmic Airplay (4 weeks)

“Under the Influence” and “No Guidance” appear on Brown’s 2019 album, IndigoThe former track is lifted from Indigo (Extended), the album’s deluxe edition.

Released June 28, 2019, Indigo debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Later that October, the album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), selling over 500,000 equivalent units.

In other news, Brown is gearing up to release 11:11 (Deluxe), the expanded edition of his 11th album, on April 11. The deluxe version will include 13 new tracks and features from Bryson Tiller, Davido, Tee Grizzley, Joyner Lucas, and more.

Before the 11:11 (Deluxe) arrives, Brown will headline J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival with SZA on Saturday, April 6, in Raleigh, North Carolina. The day one lineup also includes Jeremih, J.I.D., EARTHGANG, Amaarae, Teezo Touchdown and more.

On June 5, Brown will kick off his headlining 11:11 Tour in Detroit, Michigan.
