Chlöe Announces New Single ‘FYS’
Chlöe Bailey has announced her new song, “FYS,” will release this Friday (March 1) via Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records.
The announcement comes just a day after teasing a snippet on social media. “FYS. what do you think it means? guess right and i’ll drop,” Chlöe wrote an Instagram caption on Tuesday.
“FYS,” which stands for “f**k your standards,” will mark Chlöe’s first single since releasing her debut album, In Pieces, in 2023.
In Pieces included the singles “Pray It Away” and “How Does It Feel” featuring Chris Brown. The album featured additional appearances by Missy Elliott and Future.
“IN PIECES is for the ones who behind closed doors are breaking and don’t know how much more they can take,” Chlöe explained in an Instagram post. “IN PIECES is for the ones who hold the people up around them while barely holding up themselves. IN PIECES is for the people who continue to get stabbed in the back, heart broken by the ones they thought they could trust, but STILL that doesn’t change their heart and how they love.
Released March 31, 2023, In Pieces debuted at No. 17 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart. Chlöe supported her debut solo project on her headlining The In Pieces Tour.
Since In Pieces, Chlöe has appeared on songs by BJ The Chicago Kid (“Honey“) and Offset (“Princess Cut”) and has released holiday tracks on Amazon Music (“Winter Wonderland,” “Merry Christmas Baby“).
Aside from music, Chlöe recently received the Generation Next Award at the 2024 Urban One Honors.
In April, Chlöe will perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. Other R&B acts on the bill include Jhené Aiko, Victoria Monét and Tinashe, to name a few.
