British Soul Artist Daley Joins SRG/ILS Group for Upcoming Third Album
A New Chapter for Daley
British R&B singer-songwriter Daley has officially entered into a new recording partnership with the SRG/ILS Group. The artist, known for his distinctive vocal range and emotive songwriting, will release his highly anticipated third studio album through his own imprint, Texx7 Records, in collaboration with the label. This move places him alongside a roster of respected soul and R&B talent, including Lalah Hathaway, PJ Morton, and Tweet.
The signing marks a significant milestone for the artist, who has long been celebrated for his ability to blend alternative R&B with classic soul sensibilities. Claude Villani, president and CEO of the SRG/ILS Group, expressed high expectations for the collaboration, noting, “Daley is an amazing talent. Those who know, know and those who don’t are about to find out what presence is and what the future can be.”
Creative Vision and Artistic Evolution
For Daley, the decision to partner with SRG/ILS was rooted in a shared understanding of his musical direction. “From early conversations with Walter Millsap III and Claude at SRG, I felt an instant appreciation and excitement about the music, from people who have a genuine understanding of the craft,” Daley stated. He emphasized that the partnership provides the necessary expertise and creative support to elevate his upcoming project, which aims to expand upon his established sound.
The upcoming album is expected to serve as a sonic evolution, pushing the boundaries of his previous work while maintaining the vocal quality and emotional depth that have become his trademarks. According to official statements, the project will delve deeper into his alternative-R&B and soul roots, offering a fresh perspective in a musical landscape that often lacks the vulnerability he brings to his compositions.
Reflecting on a Musical Legacy
Daley’s career has been defined by his ability to craft intimate, resonant music. His last major project, 2017’s The Spectrum, showcased his versatility and included the standout collaboration “Until The Pain Is Gone” featuring Jill Scott. Reflecting on that era, Daley noted that the title was chosen to represent the wide range of his musical influences, from dark, atmospheric R&B to more upbeat, soul-infused tracks.
His debut album, 2014’s Days & Nights, established him as a formidable force in the industry, anchored by the success of his signature track “Alone Together” with Marsha Ambrosius. As he prepares for this next chapter, fans can expect a continuation of the thoughtful, high-quality artistry that has defined his journey thus far.
