Bobby V. Announces New Album ‘Live in Concert’
Bobby V. has announced his new album, Bobby V. Live in Concert, will release May 29 via Veltree Music Group/Santi Music. It will be available digitally and on limited-edition vinyl.
The upcoming project will celebrate Bobby V.’s nearly 30-year career, which spans back to his days as a member of the R&B group Mista.
Not only will Live in Concert include Bobby V.’s signature hits like “Slow Down” and “Tell Me,” it will also feature new music, including the forthcoming lead single, “Karma.”
“I am incredibly excited to share this live album with my fans,” says Bobby V. “It’s been an amazing journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to showcase both my classic hits and new music through this platform. I hope that listeners will enjoy this immersive experience as much as I enjoyed creating it.”
Melinda Santiago, co-executive producer and CEO of Santi Music, adds, “We are thrilled to partner with Bobby V. to bring this incredible live album to fans everywhere. Bobby V.’s talent knows no bounds, and this album is a testament to his unwavering dedication to his craft.”
Bobby V. Live in Concert will mark the crooner’s first project release since 2018’s Electrik. The album included a guest appearance from rap legend Snoop Dogg on “Lil’ Bit.”
Since then, the Mississippi-born singer has treated fans with standalone singles, including “Everybody” (2019), “Not Alone” (2020), “Reply” (2021) and “Cookie” (2022), to name a few.
In a 2020 interview with Rated R&B, Bobby V. shared his plans to release an EP titled Appetizer ahead of his album, Sunday Dinner.
“It’s an amazing R&B album,” he told Rated R&B about the latter project. “Real music and live instrumentation — just continuing the legacy of R&B and giving that real music.”
While Sunday Dinner did have a release date back in 2020, the album has yet to be served.
In 2022, Bobby V. formed the R&B supergroup RSVP with Ray J, Sammie, and Pleasure P. So far, the group has released one single, “Money Everywhere,” and an accompanying music video.
RSVP had previously announced plans to release an album, though no additional details have been revealed since then. In other news, the group will perform at the 2024 I Love RnB Music Festival in Los Angeles on Sept. 7.
